🎤 | it is such a Blessing to be able to say that @blythewoodhigh had SEVEN singers make the cut for the 2016 all-state choir.. up from our first three EVER last year, (two basses & a tenor) we added another tenor & for the first time.. female voices, two sopranos & an alto. GOD. 😁 | i'm thankful to have such kind, trustworthy, compassionate, fun-loving (foolish) human beings who really give a dang about music in my midst.. & i'll tell you what, THAT is the type of person i would want to have in my corner any day. we ended up talking for hours that night. sure, i'm their teacher, but MAN, have they kept me afloat lately.. their ability & willingness to rise above all that comes their way, giving the best of who they are? the fact that i can trust teenagers in 2016 to be an extension of me when i'm not looking, or greater yet, when i fall short? man, they have my eyes & my heart wide open to whatever lessons God has put them in my life to teach me. so much more, it is, than that do-re-mi thing... i'm one happy director. 😊🙌🏾 via Instagram http://ift.tt/1nqoSAw
