Children’s Choir returns from European trip on a high note

Twenty-one gifted Pennsylvanian singers ventured over to central Europe over the summer to perform for locals and trace back to their roots.
For 10 days in July, members of the Bel Canto children’s choir performed shows throughout Germany and the Czech Republic. Singers also visited historical sites while working to connect them to their cultural backgrounds.
The Bel Canto children’s choir is made up of auditioned singers from five southeastern Pennsylvania counties who meet weekly in Trappe, Allentown, and Red Hill. The singers who recently explored abroad were members of the concert choir, which is limited to 5th- through 12th-graders.
