Pop up choir sing for hundreds of people in Caledonian Park -Islington Gazette

A pop-up choir sang for hundreds of their neighbours in Caledonian Park.

The group, made up of residents of the nearby Parkside Estate, in Holloway, were given a standing ovation last month as they ended their set with the crowd calling for an encore of Bobby McFerrin’s song Don’t worry, be happy.

Nina Temple of Clock View Crescent, who came up with the idea for the choir, said: “As a new estate resident I wanted to get involved in my new community, and thought it would be fun to start a choir and sing with my neighbours.
