WEST-EASTERN DIVAN ORCHESTRA “O conhecimento é o início”. É uma #orquestra de jovens com sede em Sevilha, Espanha, constituída por músicos de países do Oriente Médio. Foi fundada em 1999 pelo maestro Daniel #Barenboim (Israel) e pelo acadêmico Edward Said (palestino), seu nome é inspirado numa antologia de poemas de Goethe. O objetivo da Orquestra é promover a compreensão entre israelenses e palestinos e preparar o caminho para uma solução pacífica e justa do conflito árabe-israelense. “Knowledge is the Beginning” This is a youth #orchestra based in Seville, Spain, consisting of musicians from countries in the Middle East. It was founded in 1999 by the conductor Daniel #Barenboim (Israel) and academic Edward Said (Palestinian), and named after an anthology of poems by Goethe. The aim of the orchestra is to promote understanding between Israelis and Palestinians and pave the way for a peaceful and fair solution of the Arab-Israeli conflict.
