CHOIR OF THE WORLD 2015 O CORO DE CÂMARA DA UNIVERSIDADE DE MAYNOOTH – Irlanda - levantou o TROFÉU PAVAROTTI como CHOIR OF THE WORLD no “Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod” - País de Gales. O coro é dirigido Michael Dawson, bacharel em regência em 2011 por esta mesma universidade. Já impressionando os juízes na quinta, venceu a categoria 'Coro Jovem' e foi então qualificado para concorrer no sábado com os vencedores das demais categorias. Esta é uma das mais prestigiadas competições de música coral, e foi vencida por coros de renome internacional, com mais de 5.000 cantores de 50 países tendo competido desde 1943, e um público de mais de 5.000 ouvintes a cada ano. Em 1955, Luciano Pavarotti e seu pai competiram neste evento como cantores em um coro masculino. A honra de ganhar esta competição é tal, que ele fez questão de incluir este feito em seu currículo. The choir is directed by Michael Dawson, graduated in 2011 in the same college. Having impressed the judges to win in the 'Youth Choir' category on Thursday, the choir then progressed to Saturday’s competition, open to the winner of each category. This is one of the world's most prestigious choral competitions, and has been won by internationally renowned choirs with over 5.000 singers, from more than 50 countries since 1943, performing to audiences of more than 5,000 each edition. In 1955, Luciano Pavarotti and his father competed as part of a male choir. The honor of winning this competition is such that he made sure of including this done on his resume.
