TRAGÉDIA NA CULTURA BRASILEIRA Tragedy in Brazilian Culture __________________________________ Um incêndio atingiu o MUSEU DA LÍNGUA PORTUGUESA, em São Paulo, na segunda-feira 21 de dezembro. Inaugurado em 20 de março de 2006 era o único no mundo dedicado exclusivamente a uma língua e um dos mais visitados do Brasil e da América do Sul. Felizmente todo seu acervo era virtual e uma recuperação será possível após a reconstrução do edifício. Um bombeiro que trabalhava no local morreu tentando combater o fogo. Nas segundas o museu era fechado, o que evitou uma tragédia maior. O museu funcionava no prédio da Estação da Luz, inaugurado em 1901 projeto do arquiteto britânico Charles Henry Driver. Após uma restauração em 2006, o prédio foi locação para uma sessão de fotos de divulgação de nosso coro masculino CAMERATA VOCAL com apoio da CPTM . Também foi realizado no saguão um memorável concerto em 2012 pelo mesmo grupo. Torcemos para ter de volta em breve este patrimônio. __________________________________ A fire struck the PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE MUSEUM, in Sao Paulo, on Monday, December 21.
