regram @cnconcerts Stephen layton said to me that it is important for a choir to do touring and recording. This is how a choir becomes famous. Touring is hard work and is not a holiday. Often our schedule is very punishing. For example when the Choir of Gonville and Caius came in 2015, after finishing our HK tour, we travelled to Singapore. As soon as we arrived, we rushed to the hotel, went to the Victoria Concert Hall for rehearsal and then concert. The next day we left for Bangkok. Our plane was late and when we arrived at the immigration, the queues were two miles long. We had to ask the officer for a special concession to let us in speedily. We caught a train to the Bangkok Arts Centre as any other modes of transport would be too slow. We arrived at the Concert half an hour before it was due to start!
