CHRISTMAS began in earnest on Friday evening as Penzance Choral Society performed its annual evening of festive music and readings.
The first half of the programme, at St Mary's Church, comprised the one work, Night Of Miracles, a cantata by American songwriter John W Peterson, a major influence on evangelical Christian music from the 1950s to the '70s.
