Cathedral's first girls' choir prepares for historic concert (Timbates)



The Canterbury Cathedral Girls’ Choir, the first choir of its’ kind in the holy site’s 1400-year-history, are preparing for their first Christmas concert.

The choir was announced last year, and have been performing since the start of 2014. The 16 girls, aged between 12 and 18, made their debut at January Evensong. They were lauded by the media for bringing an end to more than a millennium of male-dominated singing at the Cathedral.
