A MUCH-loved poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson provided the inspiration for the winning piece of new music among 40 UK entries for Cornwall's next International Male Voice Choral Festival.
The Composers' Competition ended with Ian Assersohn's setting of Tennyson's Crossing The Bar being performed for the first time at a Truro and Penwith College-sponsored prize evening by Alastair Taylor's Celtic Male Ensemble.
